I WILL choose to say

BLESSED BE YOUR NAME

Blessed be Your name in the land that is plentiful

Where Your streams of abundance flow

Blessed be Your name

And blessed be Your name when I'm found in the desert place

Though I walk through the wilderness

Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out I'll

turn back to praise

And when the darkness closes in, Lord

Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord

Blessed be Your name

Blessed be the name of the Lord

Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be Your name when the sun's shining down on me

When the world's "all as it should be"

Blessed be Your name

And blessed be Your name on the road marked with suffering

Though there's pain in the offering

Blessed be Your name

You give and take away

You give and take away

My heart will choose to say

Lord, blessed be Your name

6th Cup Free- Thwarted

I decided that I would try and get every 5/6th cup of coffee free from Gloria Jeans. As you no-doubt know at every store they have a double points day. Well there are two stores near me (1 is one minute walk away, the other four minutes). So the closest shop has Thursday as the double points day and the other shop has Tuesday. So I thought this was good I would buy a coffee every Tuesday and Thursday from the respective stores and get my 5/6th cup free. But alas I picked up an extra tutorial today Tuesday 9am... which means I no longer have time for that morning coffee on the way to work.

Last Thursday one of my Chinese colleagues gave blood on campus. It was her first time. The next thing she knew she woke up Friday morning in a hospital. Apparently the Blood bank had taken 20% of her blood and she fainted and almost died. I was amazed... normally the blood bank are so good. It was really scary for her because she didn't remember anything (well she fainted) and so didn't know why she was there. That was scary!

On a happy note the Lady's mother is over visitng for a couple of weeks which is great. I don't know Grace that well so it is good to get to know her a little better. The funniest thing is the Lady as she is so excited... she dos these little happy dances all the time

I can't remember what else I was going to say... just finished giving six hous straight of class... completely exhausted.

Tiredness

Somedays I just find it so hard to get going... do you ever find that... you still work but it is just like your brain is stuck in first gear. Today has been one of those days... yesterday too... I was 2 and a quarter hours in on a three hour lecture and I had different tasks the students were doing they were posting group work on a discussion board and I teach from a power point presentation. Anyway I swapped back to the powerpoint show and skipped about 5 slides and went on discussing new words from the lesson ahead. It totally messed up was a really good progression. It ended up being a bad last half hour

Today has been better... but have still felt tired. I had seven assignments (short descriptive passages) to mark before students came this afternoon and well for three of the students I hadn't finished marking theirs when they arrived... so had to do it while they were here... I really prefer to be able to read them 2-3 times after the initial mark is given and reflect more on it... oh well. They still seemed happy enough with their marks.

Yes, when I start talking about work... don't you feel like sleeping as well okie... better get back to it... 20 more minutes of student consultation and then I get to go home... well actually Dinner with the Lady and another couple who are friends of ours.

The Update

Newly awoken, I extend my virtual arms and stretch as my interned mouth opens wide in an unspoken yawn...

Time and change... Times flows by and it occurs to me that change within is not dependent on time but rather on cause and effect. Time passes and we are affected not predominatly by time but rather by the context and interaction of our life and our response to it.

Everything has changed and nothing... and as with all newly awakened adjustment takes time... time to comprehend, to understand.

Choices we have made to move forward into the unknown... at least the unknown for us. The first step Beijing August 2006 is one well known and understood we have both been there before and it is not new, yet excitement beckons; for it is a step forward and with that step comes movement. Movement that is bringing us closer to our heart's goal of Kazakhstan.

So the last year... Married... the tale of nine years ends by beginning the story of a lifetime. The Lady became my princess and joy ! ...Growth... I am older now as experience makes us and the memories of darkness, once jagged and red raw, now simply that... memories. Jesus life a light, that fills my night with the breaking of new dawn, His grace anew follows review of things no longer before, restored.

So many things to do... demand attention... focus... thought... time... energy... limited... needy... Jesus... life... rest... love... joy... peace... Paget....
